I had a beautiful experience with the Spiritual Companion program. I entered the program to grow in a deeper relationship with God. I was seeking what my purpose in life was. Service is one of the precious gifts God has given me. I love serving others. We have our priests, but not all have the time for Spiritual direction. We also have a few spiritual directors. My goal was to prepare myself to help my church community. In this program, I gained so much knowledge about the Spiritual life that gave me the confidence to talk to people about their prayer life. Even though I am not serving as a Spiritual Companion at my parish, I often talk to friends and family who seek my guidance. I hope one day, in God’s time, I will give this service to my community.
This program is a must-have. It helps in your relationship with God and gives you knowledge and tools to help others grow in their relationship with God and, through that relationship, go to heaven. We are all called to evangelize, but we must be formed first. I learned about the Sacred Scriptures, the connection between theology and philosophy, the different spiritualities, to understand the human development in connection with the spiritual life, and much more. Through this program, I found a treasure because I not only got closer to God, and gained knowledge in the Spiritual life, but also found healing from my past. It is a wonderful program with a great teacher. If you ask me, do you recommend this program to me? My answer will be, absolutely! Every penny and second of your time in this program is worth it.

Do you have the desire to grow in holiness? Want a deeper prayer life? Do people seek your guidance on spiritual matters? Do you have a desire to help others to grow in holiness? Want to gain a more in-depth knowledge of your Faith? Do you desire to be a son or daughter of the Church?
I invite you to prayerfully discern if God is asking you to become a CRC Spiritual Companion.
The CRC Spiritual Companion program is designed to form members of the laity in the Catholic Faith as disciples to help others become disciples through a deeper spiritual life. This program comprises four four-month semesters for a total of 16 months. Previous attendees spent an average of 10 hours week between prayer, reading, and lectures.
The program has weekly material done at the student's own pace. Includes readings, videos, and discussion posts. Twice a semester, we have in-residence sessions. The $1,500 per semester covers all materials, books, and in-person sessions. In-person sessions consist of 2 conferences, 2 retreats, and 4 in-residence sessions.
Because we believe in the discipleship model, 6 people are the max for each cohort. We recommend getting your application along with all documentation in sooner than later if you want to be considered. We are looking for people that desire to grow in their spiritual life and help others along the way.
The Facilitator and primary instructor for the program will be CRC Director Kim Brown, M.Th., M.Ed. The CRC Spiritual Companion Program utilizes various authentic Catholic spiritualities, including Ignatian, Alphonsian, Carmelite, Benedictine, and Carthusian.
