The CRC has the current needs for the following Volunteer Projects. The projects below allow an individual or group to take on a specific project. These are perfect for ministries or eagle scouts. We also have an adopt-a-spot, where individuals, ministries, and families can adopt a flower bed at the CRC. Lastly, if your group ever wants to do a volunteer workday we have a number of projects you could help us with, so just contact us!
Redesign & Installation of Small Pond w/ Waterfall Feature: The project includes raising funds to purchase needed supplies, planning for drainage, digging, and installing drainage at the entrance garden area. Detail Concept
PENDING - HVAC Fence Project by Eugene Hall: Involves Building a 4-Foot-Tall Fence to hide the HVAC units and protect the pipes. The fence needs to have a 4-foot gate to enter the area. The inside area should have grown cover to prevent grass from growing in this area.
Cafeteria Fence Project: Involves Building an 8-Foot-Tall Fence to hide the HVAC units and dumpster. The fence needs to have a 22-foot-wide gate opening to allow for a dump truck and foodservice 18-wheeler to enter the area. The gate should be on heavy-duty casters to hold weight to be open. Detail Concept
PENDING - Correcting Sidewalks: Identifying problem areas that act as trip hazards and make sidewalks inaccessible to someone with mobility challenges or when pushing a cart. Install new wood dividers or Crack-Stix between concrete.
Correcting the Covered Walk-Ways: The project includes raising funds to purchase needed supplies to roof the covered walkway, replacing rotted wood, and painting.
Detail Concept

Installing Bench Swings along CRC sidewalks (can include bracing sidewalk walkway where swing where hang). Bench Swing Design upon installation should have a security chain that can attach the bottom for high-winds for safety. The project can be done 90% offsite.
Build 8 trashcan holders/checker tables for lodges: The project includes raising funds to purchase needed supplies, building, and staining. The construction style should match the current benches at the lodges. Made of 2x4 and a similar stain. The trash can frame should fit around a 20-gallon trashcan. Purchase these or similar cans: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Blue-Hawk-20-Gallon-Black-Plastic-Trash-Can-with-Lid/1000915902 Frame around can in square shape and then wood on top to act as a lid as well as checker table. Check purchase from Dollar Tree. Squares should fit these pieces. The frame should include a box mounted that can hold checker pieces. The lid should have a handle to lift all. The entire frame should be stained except Checkerboard should be painted red/black. The project can be done 100% offsite.
Adopt-A-Spot: The CRC has many flower beds that need to be adopted. The adoption includes monthly weeding and twice a year to trim or prune the flowers, shrubs, and trees.
